Dawning

$200.00

When I painted my second abstract in this series, it seems I tried to use all the colors on the palette! There are many shades of blue again - as you’ll find in so many of my paintings - but look at the other colors that play together with so much joy. There’s bright yellow, and green beside the red. I added a simple slash of bright orange, and the deep contrast of the interspersed black helped add the depth I wanted, and which makes a painting so much more interesting. I applied the colors to the canvas with a palette knife rather than a brush, which yielded incredible textures. Oh my, I do love it; I hope you find it pleases your eye as well.

  • Size: (h & w) 5 x 7 in

  • Medium: Oil on Board

  • Inventory Number: 127-20
